Last week I took part in the IRONMAN 70.3 (which is also known as the half Ironman distance, comprising of a 1.9km swim; 90km cycle and 21.1km run). The week before 70.3 I got the all clear from my doctor to part take after breaking my wrist in a mountain biking accident 5 weeks earlier.
As I hadn’t done a triathlon in a couple of years, and wasn’t sure If I was going to take part, I didn’t have a tri suit, and stopped off at the Orca/Orbea stand at the Ironman 70.3 Expo. I picked up a two piece suit to try on, but I must admit the ladies top is very complicated with a built in bra that I just couldn’t get my head around….so I had to get a lesson from Dave Sullivan from the Orca/Orbea Concept store in Cape Town (yes, a guy had to explain to me how to put on a ladies tri suit-check out the video 🙂
