Just last week we tried out Maggies Cafe Bar in Greenpoint, after hearing about their yummy breakfasts and we had also heard that they had a menu for dogs.
Normally restaurants are dog friendly but it’s very rare that I come across a spot that has a special doggy menu.
I dragged my pup “Leia” and my partner Mike along, and we were pleasantly surprised. Leia was welcomed with a bowl of water, a tummy tickle and shown the doggy menu (which she thought was edable.)
Leia selected CANNELONI (which is Dry Sausage wrapped in Biltong) and has a 5Bone Rating (which is the Maggie’s Wag rating for Dogs). Leia absolutely loved this and gave it a 5 paws up!
Two days later we were back for another breakfast, as we were so impressed the first time round. On our second visit we decided to try something different , so Leia had the DRIED SAUSAGE (which got a 3Bone rating on the menu), Leia enjoyed it but not as much as her the Cannelloni. We also tested out their Ostrich Buffalo wings which received a no no from Leia, she wouldn’t touch it.
On both occasions we were very impressed with our Breakfasts and I now rate this as one of my favorite breakfast spots in the city.
