This week I have been down with flu, and my friend Cathy (owner of The Woof Shack) sent me this Immune boosting breakfast bowl to try. I thought I’d share the recipe with you, as it’s packed with immune boosting nutrients, ideal to boost your system ahead of flu season.
It’s also Deskfast day, the pressures of work life, often result in us not eating a healthy breakfast before work and most of us have to enjoy breakfast at our desk or workstation, this recipe is perfect to make the night before and pack into your lunchbox for breakfast.
INGREDIENTS
Serves 1-2
*1 banana, chopped
*1 small handful baby spinach leaves
*200g full cream yoghurt
*1/2 cup almond milk or coconut milk
*1/2 cup mango, peeled and sliced
TOPPINGS
- *50g muesli
- *Rasberries
- *Coconut flakes
- *2 teaspoons chia seeds
- *2 teaspoons flax seeds
DIRECTIONS
Place the banana, spinach, yoghurt, almond milk and mango in a high powered blender and blend till smooth.
To serve: Pour into a serving bowl and top with the muesli, mango and chia seeds.
